win armed situations!
Scoring is time plus total penalty seconds. All targets will be center
mass only. Steel, clay, and IDPA cardboard targets will be utilized.
Cardboard targets will be scored Center +0 seconds, outside of
center +1 second, and outer edge including head +3 seconds unless
other wise stated, complete miss on all three types of targets will be
+5 seconds per shot.
Procedure violation will be +5 seconds. White or black paper hits will
be +5 seconds. Hits on or close to the line will be scored in the
competitors favor. Unless specified by course design, no mandatory
magazine changes and you may change magazines in any fashion.
From a position in a stage, you may engage specified targets in any
order unless it is required to activate a moving target.
3 classes of competitors: Virgin, Iron Man, & Hot Rod
Virgin is "first time in a competition" shooters at the match and will use
iron sights and standard concealed carry rigs only. (They may
complete all stages with pistol only with table rest of pistol, hands
raised to shoulders while standing upright, and table draw at each
position a different firearm is to be normally exchanged.)
Rods, Barrels, & Strings Outfitters of Marble Falls
(http://www.rodsbarrelsandstringstx.com/) is providing a $25.00 gift
certificate to the winner of the Virgin class each month.
______________________________________________________
Iron Man is competition experienced shooters using iron sights on all
firearms and standard concealed carry rigs for pistols. (They may
complete all stages with pistol only but must include a table rest of
pistol, hands raised to shoulders while standing upright, and table
draw at each position a different firearm is to be normally exchanged.)
______________________________________________________
Hot Rod is any shooter using non-standard conceal carry rigs for
pistols and/or optics on any one of their firearms.
Each class will have four divisions: Revolver, Single Stack, Double
Stack, and Western. Western division will be limited to iron sights only
on their revolver pistols, Lever action rifles, and double or single
barrel shotguns. Semi-auto carbines along with semi-auto or pump
shotguns may "not" compete in the western division. Cowboy holster
rigs only in the Western division.
Custom firearms may be used in any of the classes with Optics and
military/speed holsters being the only factors of moving one to the Hot
Rod Class. Reloaded ammo is permitted and recommended to reduce
your expenses. Reloaded ammo should not be loaded lighter than the
minimum recommendations in the match reloading manual.
The match director reserves the right to chronograph competitors
ammo at the end of the match if three or more fellow competitors file a
complaint. If the competitors ammo is slower than minimum, their
score will be removed from the match results.
Drawing from concealment is "not" permitted. This Outlaw match has
very few rules; the ones we do have are based on safety. Such as all
movement and mag changes are to completed with finger off the
trigger and the classic 180 degree rule
